TELLER – FULL TIME

Are you a whiz for customer service, detail-oriented, and good at thinking on your toes? Freedom Bank is looking for a new teammate at our Dale office who’s dedicated to providing quality customer service. As a Full-Time Teller, you’ll be responsible for providing account services to customers, including opening new accounts, processing transactions, and handling cash.

What to Expect:

The Day-to-Day

  • Provide account services to customers.
  • Process transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, cashing checks, loan payments, and payoffs. Process cashier checks, VISA card advances, line of credit advances, IRA deposits, & wire transfers.
  • Process night deposits and check orders.
  • Cash handling and reconciling cash drawer.
  • Scan and transmitting transactions.
  • Open new accounts (DDA, SAV, TDA & IRAs).
  • Adhere to security and state and federal regulatory compliance responsibilities to protect the Bank.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as directed.

Must Haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math proficiency with the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
  • Basic computer knowledge with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook).

Physical Requirements:

Sitting-Standing-Walking: Approximately 90% or more of time (“constantly”) is spent working in a teller window. Balance of time (10%, or “occasionally”) is spent moving around work areas. Ability to traverse one or more flights of stairs may be required.

Speaking-Hearing: Clear diction and acute hearing are necessary for effective and frequent (up to 90% of work time) communication with co-workers, customers, and outside agencies, by telephone and in person.

Vision: Ability to effectively use a computer screen and interpret printed materials, memos and other appropriate paperwork, 90% or more of work time.

Lifting-Carrying: The ability to transport files, office supplies, and lifting up to a weight of 35 lbs. and occasionally, up to 50 lbs.

COMPLIANCE ASSISTANT – FULL TIME

We are seeking a full-time Compliance Assistant for our bank. The position is located in Huntingburg. This individual will assist with compliance functions to assure the bank’s policies and practices are in accordance with Federal & State regulations. Our ideal candidate will be comfortable communicating regulatory requirements, and will possess a high level of discretion, as this role requires the handling of confidential information. Basic accounting and proficiency in software including Microsoft suite and banking application software is required.

Our new Compliance Assistant will join our friendly and highly motivated team dedicated to banking with integrity.

What to Expect:

The Day-to-Day

  • Assist the Compliance Officer to review loan files and deposit documentation for regulatory compliance requirements and assist with other compliance related duties.
  • Assist the Community Reinvestment Officer with the collection and boarding of data, including assigning training, and recordkeeping.
  • Assist the Bank Secrecy Officer with Bank Secrecy Act duties, which includes reviewing reports, organizing incoming support documentation, maintaining tracking logs and monitoring activities.
  • Assist the Internal Auditor with monitoring activities & scanning of documentation for audit cycles.
  • Perform appraisal reviews.
  • Adhere to security and state and federal regulatory compliance responsibilities to protect the Bank.
  • Perform other duties as requested.

Must Haves:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic accounting skills with mathematical aptitude and Excel spreadsheet skills.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, internet applications, email, and various Windows software applications including, but not limited to, banking application software, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Highest degree of confidentiality and discretion in handling of information received in the course of discharging responsibilities
  • Self-starter attitude, and the ability to work without constant supervision.
  • Ability to follow directions and apply policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Outstanding listening and communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to provide positive guidance regarding regulatory requirements to other personnel.
